Interpol showcase new album in London
Interpol showcased a series of new tracks from their forthcoming album tonight (July 2) for a one-off show in London.
The Astoria gig, which coincided with the release of the New York four-piece's new single 'The Heinrich Maneuver' gave the band a chance to warm up for this weekend's appearance at T In The Park and Oxegen, as they played four new songs from 'Our Love To Admire'.
Kicking off with album opener 'Pioneer To The Falls', Interpol went on to perform 'Mammoth', 'Rest My Chemistry' and their new single.
The four-piece's set also borrowed heavily from their debut 'Turn On The Bright Lights' and 2004 LP 'Antics'.
Although singer Paul Banks said very little throughout the gig, he did thank the crowd on several occasions and commented on how "special" they were.
Along with crowd favourites 'Slow Hands', 'NYC' and 'Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down', the band received the biggest cheer when they belted out hit single, 'Evil' before closing the show with an extended intro into 'PDA'
